Prosciutto and Brie Flatbread
Yield: 2 flatbreads
Ingredients
- 2 pre-made flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 tbsp fig jam
- 8 oz (about 115 g) Président Professionnel Double Crème Brie, sliced
- ½ pear, sliced
- 4-6 slices prosciutto, sliced in two
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup fresh arugula
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. If available, heat a pizza stone in the oven for a crispier crust.
- Place the flatbread on a baking sheet or the pizza stone and bake for 3-5 minutes until it becomes slightly crispy. It shouldn’t be fully cooked at this point. Remove the partially baked flatbread from the oven.
- Evenly spread fig jam, leaving a small border around the edges. Place slices of brie cheese evenly on the flatbread. Add prosciutto and pears.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with arugula and, if desired, drizzle with olive oil and top with walnuts. Slice and serve immediately.
This flatbread is a wonderful combination of sweet, salty, and savoury flavours with a touch of peppery arugula and balsamic glaze. It’s perfect as an appetizer or a light meal. Enjoy!
Tip: The pre-baking step will help maintain the integrity of the flatbread’s texture and prevent it from getting too soft from the toppings. Enjoy your delicious flatbread!
